Radical HR

Looked at your website, LinkedIn, blog, search presence, and how you compare to the NZ HR firms buyers are actually finding. Five things stood out — ordered by how quickly each one converts a warm reader into a conversation.

All findings based on publicly available data — website, LinkedIn, search results, industry research

Offer Quick win There is no offer and no way to book — a ready buyer has to compose a cold email from scratch

Every warm reader who finishes a post and thinks "this is exactly what we need" has nowhere to go except a contact form — and most won't compose a cold brief on a Friday afternoon. The primary CTA across the entire Radical HR website is "Start the conversation" — which leads to a contact form where someone has to write their own cold brief. There is no booking link, no free audit, no discovery call scheduler, no assessment tool. Nothing a ready buyer can say yes to without first doing work themselves. For a founder who reads a blog post on a Friday afternoon and thinks "this is exactly what we need" — there is no frictionless next step. They close the tab. By Monday it's gone. This is the single highest-friction point between the content you're already creating and an actual conversation.

Action Add a booking link for a 30-minute discovery call — Calendly is free. Put it in the header, at the end of every blog post, and in the LinkedIn bio. Thirty minutes to set up. Every warm reader now has a frictionless next step that doesn't require them to compose an email cold.

their HR and culture approach is working — and what to change first.

Website Quick win Your testimonials name no one — your biggest competitor names Sharesies, Mitre 10, and ASB

A founder comparing HR consultants looks for names they recognise — and Humankind is showing them Sharesies, Mitre 10, and ASB while Radical HR's clients are unnamed. All three testimonials on radicalhr.co are anonymous and outcome-free — warm praise, no names, no numbers. Humankind NZ, the most visible HR consultancy in your market, publicly names Sharesies, Mitre 10, ASB, and Shopify as clients, with specific outcomes attached. A founder evaluating consultants does two things: looks at client names, and reads what changed. If your site shows anonymous praise and a competitor shows "we reduced voluntary turnover by 23% in six months at Sharesies" — you are losing that decision before a conversation starts. The buyer's fear is: "will this person understand a business like mine?" Unnamed testimonials don't answer that question.

Action Ask three past clients for a testimonial in this format: what the problem was + what you did together + what measurably changed. Get permission to use their name and company. One named outcome from a recognisable NZ business outperforms ten anonymous quotes. Put it on the homepage, not on a buried testimonials page.
Content Medium effort You've published weekly since 2023 — almost no NZ businesses are finding it

Two years of consistent publishing, and almost no NZ businesses are finding it — 76% of the traffic is from the US, 17% Germany, 7% India. SimilarWeb data shows radicalhr.co receives roughly 1,700 visits per month — with 76% coming from the US, 17% Germany, and 7% India. Almost no traffic is arriving from New Zealand. Organic search is not a meaningful source. You have published consistently for over two years, which is more than most competitors manage. But post titles like "The Quiet Weight Leaders Carry" and "Meaning Over Motion" are thought leadership, not search queries. Nobody in NZ is typing those phrases into Google. The content is good. The door is facing the wrong direction.

Action Keep the current publishing cadence. For the next three posts, lead with a search-shaped title: "Why NZ businesses lose their best people in year two," "How to tell if your hiring process is filtering out the right candidates," "What to do when a high performer quits." Same depth, different entry point. One well-ranked post will outperform two years of social sharing.
Brand Medium effort Your most visible credibility is in education — your target clients are commercial business owners

A commercial founder researching Radical HR online sees speaking at school principal events — which creates a quiet hesitation at the decision moment that doesn't announce itself. Your two most publicly visible speaking engagements — Springboard Trust's "Leading with Hauora" webinar and the RASLA Strategic Sense Making event in Christchurch — are both in the school leadership sector. These are real, credible platforms. But a commercial founder or CEO Googling "Radical HR Lisa Shaw" sees facilitation work for school principals, not evidence that Lisa understands the problems of a 20-person service business trying to keep its best people. The gap between the audience you're visibly serving and the audience your website targets creates a quiet trust problem that doesn't announce itself — it just shows up at the decision moment as hesitation.

Action Identify one commercial client you've worked with where you can describe a before and after. Make that story the featured case study on your homepage and post it on LinkedIn. It doesn't need to be a famous company. It needs to look like the business your next client runs. That one story repositions everything else on the site.
SEO Quick win You're not listed in any Auckland HR directory — competitors are, and those pages rank on page 1

A founder searching "best HR consultant Auckland" sees Humankind, HR Associate, and EQ Consultants — not Radical HR — and often doesn't look further than page 1. Radical HR does not appear on Clutch, Goodfirms, Top NZ Review, or any of the editorial "best HR consultants in Auckland" lists that rank on page 1 of Google for commercial HR searches. These lists exist, get traffic, and are how founders shortlist consultants without a referral. Humankind NZ, HR Associate, EQ Consultants, Hello Monday, and FixHR all appear across multiple lists. A founder searching "best HR consultant Auckland" or "HR consulting NZ" sees those names — not yours. Getting listed on the main directories takes 30 to 60 minutes per submission and nothing more.

Action Submit to three directories this week: Clutch.co (free), Goodfirms (free), and the HRNZ member directory at hrnz.org.nz. Use a consistent description, list your focus industries, and link to your booking page once it's live. Each listing is a permanent indexed reference that works while you sleep.
What's next

The highest-value moves aren't visible from the outside.

Everything above came from public sources — your website, LinkedIn, search data, competitor research. There's a limit to what that reveals.

The biggest opportunities — who in your existing network should become your next three clients, how to productise your services so buyers can self-qualify, what to charge — only show up when we look inside. In 30 minutes, we'll identify which of these findings has the fastest revenue impact for your specific situation — and you'll leave with a prioritised action list.
